Sunday 26th June ~FREEBIE~

I have got both Freebies and a tutorial for you this week.

I was asked to make a card with a bottle of Champagne and glasses.
I have made two cards, one is the ordered one and the second one is for this tutorial.

And here's the bottle and glass for you to print out.

You will need 2 print-outs to make the bottle.. and print as many glasses as you need.
As I have decided to do a Pearl wedding card I have put 1980 on the top label and written the number 30 on the bottom label.. the free image has blank spaces for you to add anything you want.

I hope this inspires you to make a celebration bottle of Champagne with glasses on a card too.

Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend.

Purr-fect

I am lucky enough to have some wonderful followers to my blog. I enjoy visiting your blogs and always feel inspired. I was visiting Take a piece of card the other day and absolutely loved Eileen's card and the image is just so cute! When I saw that it is a FREEBIE I had to download it. If you want it you can get it from the Motivet blog - Click on the linked picture further down this page on the right hand side.
I made this quick card using this cute cat:
I used promarker pens to colour the cat, the paper is from 'Eastern Promise' 6 x 6 pack by Dovecraft, and I got the flowers from Lakeland some time ago before they stopped selling craft goodies. The look on his/her's little face if purfect for saying 'Sorry'... well it is to me anyway.
Thanks for looking and inspiring me!

Sunday 20th June ~FREEBIE~

This week's freebie digi image is a little girl. I drew her today and she is based on an old family photo from the 1930's. I thought 'what a cute photo' and just had to use her. Here she is... click on her to get a large image.
If you would like this image please click HERE
I hope she makes you smile like she does me... Lol!
Here is the card I made today with her on...
I coloured her with pro marker pens, cut her out and laid her onto paper mania Rose garden papers with sticky pads to give her a bit of dimension, I used the deep edge Martha Stewart lattice punch to add a 'fence' look too. The flowers are a mixture of bought paper hydrangeas and punch out ones using the Martha Stewart hydrangea punch and coloured with pro markers and embellished with gems.
I must say, I am rather pleased with the finished look, and she still makes me smile.
I hope you like this week's freebie and I want you to have fun with it... oh, and don't forget to show me what you create..
Thanks for stopping by

Mosaic Malma frames...

I've been sort of addicted to decorating these really cheap frames over the last couple of years on and off. I thought I'd put a few more on my blog that I did earlier this year ... here goes....
I call these ones 'Shabby Chic' look. I used the untreated pine frames for these. Firstly, I painted them white using acrylic paints. I covered the entire front surface with a strong double sided tape. I punched out literally hundreds of 1cm squares choosing the colours carefully. I foiled my own papers for my mosaic mirrors using various pearl, holographic and pale coloured foils. I only worked on a one strip of tape peeled back at a time sticking each square on carefully and leaving equal gaps inbetween them. Once I finished covering all the frame I sprinkled white glitter to fill in as the 'grout' and to complete them I stuck pretty sequins around the mirror itself.

I made these the same way but with the darker frame available in Ikea (so no painting it first) and using darker coloured foiled papers. and black glitter as the 'grout'. The photos don't really do them justice as they look so much more vibrant and metallic for real.
Thank You for looking today.... I have done other frames too and will share them in another post.
See you soon..

Decorated Ikea Malma frame

Over the last few years I have really enjoyed decorating these mirror frames in lots of different ways. They make fantastic gifts for friends and family..and I have even sold some. Here are my latest creations..

I love purples. Here's how I did it just in case you wanna know.. I cut pieces of embossed wallpaper and stuck them to the frames, then I painted them a few times with acrylic paints giving a good covering., then I used a hot foiling pen to apply some beautiful puple foil in the plain areas. I added sequins and gems just to glam them up a bit too.
These were a gift to my Son's girlfriend who really likes them as they will match her newly decorated purple bedroom.
I wonder if anyone reading this likes to decorated frames.. I'd love to see your creations too.
Thanks for reading...

Sunday 12th June ~FREEBIE~

Hi everyone,
Thankyou for all your wonderful comments on last week's image. I am thrilled that so many of you like the birdhouse... and it's just fantastic to see how some of you have used it so Thankyou for sharing.

This week I have TWO free images for you as my way of saying Thank You for your support and very kind comments. Here is your free digital image to colour in today - a Chaise Lounge

Here is a card that I made using this Chaise Lounge..
I used a deep edge martha stewart punch for the edge..one black and one patterned paper..layered over each other. The lovely kittens were printed and cut out from the 'IVORY CATS' CD rom from Joanna Sheen Ltd.. and I used promarker pens and a glitter pen to colour the image.. adding gems in a few spots.

... and here is your 2nd FREEBIE this Sunday.. something different... a Background image

I painted this years ago and it just sits in a draw getting dusty... so I thought.. why not share it and see what others can create with it. Ideas can be to use - Fairie stamps or print outs.. character stamps tilda, messy rabbit, forever friend bears, other digital characters...etc... lots of flowers maybe...birds... anything goes! Lol
I haven't made a card yet (I have been very busy)..so I will post one as soon as I have.. in the meantime, please have fun with it.
Hugs and have a great weekend everyone
